Anaphylaxis Canada is pleased to announce the launch of its first online web seminar, Anaphylaxis 101, which will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 12 noon to 1 pm (EST).

As part of our new Anaphylaxis Learning Centre, we will be hosting a series of online web seminars throughout the year, covering a wide range of topics regarding anaphylaxis management. Our first web seminar will focus on the basics of anaphylaxis and the need-to-know information every patient requires such as what is anaphylaxis; signs and symptoms; common causes of anaphylaxis; how to use an auto-injector and tips for creating an allergy safe environment.

This seminar is being offered free of charge across the country to anyone with an interest in anaphylaxis, such as parents of allergic children, educators, child care workers, public health and other caregivers.

**Note: as part of the presentation, we will be reviewing the use of
epinephrine auto-injectors. If you have a training device for either the
Epipen or Twinject, you may want to keep it on hand for this segment.
