I just need to vent a little!
I live in Vancouver and occasionally look through Craigs List.
There is a section there called Rant and Raves...
I was shocked beyond belief yesterday when I read all the rants on Peanut Allergies.
A woman had put a posting up saying that there were 2 kids in her childs school with severe peanut allergies therefore lunches needed to be nut free. The poster was upset about having to make changes to her kids lunches and said she would not cooperate.
Then went on to say that there were two kids in the class that had have head lice and should they not have to stay home.
I was dumbfounded!
How can you make a parralel between a deadly allergy and a nuciance lice?
One that has treatment and the other there is none.
People responded to the rant, most saying that it is not up to society to care for these individuals who have the misfortune of having allergies and that through natural selection of the survival of the fittest the weak ones must die.
WHAT'??????????
What kind of disgusting world do we live in?
Go to http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca
And then go to Rant and raves, type in Peanut allergies and read the rest of the garbage!
I want to post my two cents, just have not gotten to it yet what with two busy kids. But I will.
I just think its awful to belong to a society that has no respect for those od us who have the "misfortune of having to live with a deadyly allergy( allergies).
Society needs to be educated, but inorder to do so, one needs to speak with people who have an open mind.
Sorry about my rant!
