I posted a few days ago, and no one responded to having any knowledge and experience with eosinophilic esophagitis. Not that I wish this on anyone, but it really is becoming more common, so I am sure someone must have some experience. Also, I read recently that diagnoses of the condtion are on the rise in Canada. I discovered the Canadian Council on Eosinophilc Disorders. They are helping find medical resources in Montreal. But I am just reaching out again.

We may move to Montreal, but I can't fathom doing so, if there are not decent medical resources for this condition. This might mean refusing a job transfer. That is a scary proposition in this economy.

Hope someone knows someone who knows someone.......

Hi, Mom2Boys. I run the support group in Mtl. We used to have meetings but have no meeting space at this time. I'm hoping this will change in the near future. We do have an online e-mail list, and I provide telephone support to those who need it. I'm familiar with EG and EE. Feel free to send a PM any time.

Could you ask you current specialist for a referral? He/she may know of some specialist in Montreal. Montreal is a major city with an excellent university. I would be very surprised if they did not have specialists in this field.

Mom2boys...check Cincinnati Children's Hospital. They are building an EE specific clinic. They do a lot of EE research.
