I thought it would be fun to post what items you have found to be most helpful in dealing with food allergies or allergies in general.

For me, I thought that cookbooks would top the list but I have found my bread maker to be essential even when I purchase some breads.

Daughter: asthma, allergies to egg, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, most legumes (not soy) & penicillin. Developing hayfever type allergies.
Husband: no allergies
Me: allergies to some tree that flowers in May
Cat: allergic to beef, pork and lamb
