So, somehow my stepmother has gotten it into her head that 'gluten-free' is code for 'food to buy for people with allergies' because I was there tonight and this is the second time she has proudly presented me with a gluten-free bakery cake for desert. The funny thing is, one of the main dish items at dinner was...bagels. Oh well. At least she's trying, right? :)

(Aside from the bagels being made of wheat issue, there is also the problem that many gluten-free flour mixes have corn flour in them and that is one of my allergens...)

Well...it's a start. Why not get her a subscription to Allergic Living for Christmas? :rofl
