My daughter is 9, never used nail polish...She is begging me to try...
I am very cautious about any kind of chemicals
Is there any less toxic allergy friendly nail polish you are using?
Thanks

We've used several brands with no problems. What are you avoiding?

We even had a creative moment making party invitations that included using nail polishes as paints! One word-VENTILATE :freak
I like to slow drying time, we can work the colours together-ruins the brushes though.

She might like the little decals such as these http://www.clicknailart.com/StickerDecals.html You can purchase at drugstores or accessories stores.

chemicals in nail polish are pretty toxic.

I use suncoat, and I remove it with suncoat nailpolish remover (water based. contains soy-based ingredients)

I get it at Noah's in Toronto. Can sometimes find it at my local health food store.

I use this http://www.honeybeegardens.com/natural- ... pwcne.html and use the peel off for my DD, and the non peel off for myself. It doesn't stay on quite as long as regular nail polish, but there is virtually no smell. I had to order it off their website.

Thank you all so much.
I will check our health food store today.
She was so exited with the variety of colours suncoat offers...
Thanks again
We are avoiding peanuts, nuts and eggs.....and chemicals (if posible)

one thing i forgot to mention about suncoat. It takes extra effort to get the polish off. It is worth it for me, though, as I want to avoid chemicals!!

I was in Choices Market today and saw both nailpolish and remover that omitted the harsh chemicals. Expensive though. The nailpolish at FACES cosmetics is also free of formaldehyde.

I have seen kids have a great time with watercolour markers (depends on age).
