I was in a hurry tonight trying to do too many things and fit in a trip to the grocery store. I bought irristibles (Metro ) brand plain rice crackers. When we got home my non-allergic daughter handed me one to try, i thought rice crackers are okay so i did. Almost instantly I lost my vision, it was kind of like a migraine aura, everything was shimmery and bright and I could only see a small amount of tunnel vision. I also got terribly cranky.
I then looked at the ingredient list which said may contain sesame, crustaceons, shellfish and fish. My RAST tests were negative for the shrimp and cod but I suspect I may be allergic to sesame. I took an antihistamine right away and my vision cleared within a half hour. I am wondering if any one else has had an allergic reaction like that before.

Wow, haven't heard of this type of reaction before. Glad you are ok now, and I hope you find some answers.

dalbai, I also haven't heard mention of the symptoms you had. Very scary, glad you are ok. Try keeping a food journal to help you narrow down the culprit. :huggy

It sounds vascular and anaphylaxis can affect the cardio-vascular system.
Follow this up with your Dr. It's too important to let go.

Hope you figure it out soon.
