Hi Everyone
After going to the allergist yesterday I have been searching Medical Alert bracelets online. I have found several sites where I can buy one online but I am a bit wary of buying one online since I cannot actually touch it or try it on. I also have a nickel allergy so I need something that is nickel free at a reasonable price. Are there places that sell bracelets? Do jewelry stores sell them? The places I did find online that I am considering are: http://www.medicalert.ca/en/index.asp and http://canada.universalmedicalid.com/canada/index.php are there others that I should consider? Any experiences with these companies? I know Medical Alert has a membership fee and has 24hr call center for EMS but I'm not sure if I really need it.
Thanks for the help

Yes, you need the 24/7 service. If you are incapacitated, it will speak for you.

DS has worn a medic alert bracelet for over 2 1/2 years now. We have been very happy with it. You will get in the mail a little wallet card with all your dr. /contact/health info on it. Every time you update your file online and make any changes new cards will automatically be mailed to you.

I do know other people who have bought ID bracelets and just had them engraved, the only downside is there isn't a 24/7 service.
