There is a show on Discovery called "Licence to Drill" and on episode 12 shown Jan 24, 2012 someone on the drilling crew is putting bags of walnut shells down the hole, talks about being allergic and hoping the medic has an epi pen. Let me add to this.....this is not a fictional show.....but real life....

This guy (with the allergy) is laughing about it all....what a tool! I guess it made for good t.v.

He didn't have to touch them...cut the bottom of the bag over the grate...but as he spoke about how serious his allergy is, he stood right over the bag breathing in the air above and the rest of crew pretty much thought it a big joke....what made me mad is that he hoped the medic would have an epi-pen and I don't think they would....but why didn't he? and why did the consultant joke about it? saying with a smirk on his face you have to ensure that the person doesn't have an allergy. The whole crew just looked like a bunch of idiots.

I guess it just makes me mad that people don't get it and make fun still and those rigs are sometimes very isolated....an accident waiting to happen with this attitude...like the rigs aren't dangerous enough.
