Hi!
We are looking to adopt a bird (parrotlet) and I am reasearching the food.
I know that many seed mixes have peanuts in them and there seem to be just as many that do not have peanuts in the mix (though it is unknown if there has been contact with it in the processing).

I am wondering if anyone out there has pet birds and how you overcome this? I have put out a few emails to the feed companies but no answers yet.

I have not ruled out making my own but I'd still need to find the raw materials.

Cheers!
Marc

No personal experience with, but I've seen this product mentioned a few times: http://totallyorganics.com/testimonials.php

You may want to add to the list of companies you're checking with re peanut-free feed.

Thanks Gwen, I've seen that company as well.
I'm hoping to find someone locally that sells it or another brand (not in Ottawa so far) but will definitely consider ordering in if I have to.

It just scares me because if I run out I can't just run to the store and pick some up.

Hoping someone with a pet bird has some insight.
