A friend of mine pointed this out to me while trying to learn more about my daughter's nut allergy. She asked me if I thought it contained good information, and while yes, it does explain a lot, some of it is misleading or too broad. If you're not familiar with Wikipedia, it's an online encyclopedia that can be edited by anyone and anyone can contribute to it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial)

I thought I'd point out the food allergy page to the allergy gurus we have here, to see if you guys can improve on it. I know enough about my daughter's nut allergy, but not enough about food allergies in general to add much to the article.

In particular, I'm not really keen on some of the sweeping generalizations (and exclusions), such as stating that a cow's milk allergy necessitates the need for soy.

Anyway, there's a little project for someone with more patience than I for that sort of thing.

:D

Fortunately, wiki is collaborative and can be edited by anyone. I edited it myself and thought about adding "SOY IS THE DEBIL!", but I'm well behaved.

Usually.

That's not a *little* project. It's a major undertaking. Might be a fun group project though.

ygg, I have to ask. What is a debil? Is that what my grandson calls that nasty red guy? ;)

Yes, it's my satirical appropriation of little kid netspeak.

Debil = Devil. I would add "!!!!!!111eleventy", as well.
