(sorry for the weird short forms in the subject heading---I ran out of space.)

Looks like a good resource for getting ingredient and/or toxicity information on cosmetic/dental care/body care products:

http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep2/index.php

I was surprised to see that some products advertised as 'natural' do not actually get good ratings for product safety. i.e. some 'natural' toothpastes get the same overall ranking as some conventional toothpaste brands.

Hi Justine HH...that web link you gave was interesting...under the area that says "search hundreds of sites with Green Products" I typed in "Melaleuca Ecosense" and it took me right to a page displaying the Ecosense cleaners from my Melaleuca Company!! Thanks.

My preteen daughter has become addicted the Environmental Working Group site and we rarely buy anything anymore without checking the site first. We also bought the book Ecoholics which has a number of suggestions for chemical free products and websites which talks about this same website in it's introduction. We discovered that if the product we want to check isn't listed on their site you can simply search each individual ingredient to learn more about it's rating.
