Here is a link to a Washington Post article about Advair risks:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 01126.html

I wish I had seen this last week, before I had all my children's prescriptions renewed! I would have asked some serious questions!

A big problem is that Advair contains milk proteins which should be labeled as a warning on the package, and it is not. Most doctors are pharmacists don't believe this until it is shown to them listed in the inactive ingredience. A lot of people with milk allergies also have asthma and are using this drug, and they don't understand why their asthma is getting worse, not better. Drug companies should be required to list food allergens on their labels.

No kidding! Wow, I didn't know that, Chai. That's good to know for people with a dairy allergy.

My youngest daughter seems to do better on Advair 100 than 250, and she's lactose intolerant. I wonder if there is a connection...
