Children with asthma who live in homes with dogs may show more severe respiratory symptoms than kids with cats or no pets, a new study suggests.

Researchers in California looked for a link between responses to air pollution and pet ownership among 475 children with asthma.

The symptoms were not as strong among children with cats or no pets.
