Anyone see this in Reader's Digest when it came out?

When Food Turns Fatal
The rise in allergies is stumping even the experts. Here's what you need to know.
By Irene S. Levine, PhD
From Reader's Digest June 2006

The Troublesome Eight

Allison Jubelirer is obsessive about anything that touches her lips. She reads every food label and is meticulous about avoiding forbidden foods. She questions everyone about the ingredients being used in cooking, and always tells the waitstaff she's deathly allergic to nuts and seafood. Sound melodramatic? Not when you have food allergies that can threaten your life. "I can never be too careful," says Jubelirer, a 28-year-old event planner in Chappaqua, New York.

I buy Reader's Digest all the time, but I missed that article!

I'm going to find my June issue. Thanks for mentioning this, Karen.

I especially liked that the beginning focusses on an adult. So many stories are about kids, and I'm sure that many allergic adults would like the world to know that they exist as well.

Very comprehensive article.

FYI, I checked my copy and it wasn't in the Canadian issue of RD. It's only on the RD website.
