Is it a full moon? Check out these two:

Can't seem to find an online link, but if anyone got today's Nat'l Post, you'll see a column as part of an "Allergy Week" series the Post has been running. The headline refers to how "faking anaphylactic shock" backfired on the columnist as he tried to talk/wheeze his way out of a speeding ticket by saying he was rushing to hospital. The cop insisted on escorting him to Emerg.

Except what he's really writing about is using an asthma attack to beat the ticket. So: the Post doesn't know the difference between anaphylaxis and asthma (sigh); they think faking an asthma attack is funny. Good lord.

Then there's the Dallas Cowboy, Terrell Owens, who's in the news over a so-called suicide attempt. Except he says it wasn't a suicide attempt, he was having - you guessed it - an allergic reaction:

Quote:
According to Owens, he made the mistake of mixing prescription pain pills with the all-natural supplements he ordinarily takes. The combination left him woozy and his publicist, who was with him at his Dallas condo, became worried when he couldn't respond to her questions. Having also discovered an empty bottle of pills, she called 911 around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
