Kyle "P. Nut" Dine has written some really fun allergy songs for kids that he is preparing to put on a CD.

You can read a bit more about his project and listen to his songs at http://www.myspace.com/kylepnut .

He even wrote a song about Epi-Man and Epi-Man Jr!!

I'm hoping to get him up to the Ottawa area in January 2007 for a kids' concert. Just have to find a good venue...!

That is excellent.

But, who is Dale Evan? I actually did a search, thinking it is someone real, but I'm not finding anything that looks like it might be the right person.

that sounds really cool

karen have you looked into centrepoint theatre? it's an okay sized venue, the accustics would be good, they do a lot of family friendly events, and it's not too hard to get to from any point in the city.

I asked him about Dale Evan too - it's just a made-up name, apparently. Makes me think of Dale Evans - Roy Rogers' wife!!!

I will check out Centrepointe Theatre, but I've always found their tickets to be rather pricey, which makes me think that their rent might be kind of pricy too... But you've given me a good idea to look into local theatres, and I also have a contact that has access to a nice facility that might work.

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback guys!

K.

haha it's funny you should ask. "Dale Evan" came to exists after writing another song about a terrible 11th day at a previous job titled "Day Eleven". After playing it a few times, people interpreted it as Dale Evan! I wanted to make him a food allergy hero and I was itching to use the line "Never has the world been in so much delight, as that day eleven, Dale Evan won the fight."

Glad you like the music! If anyone has any great ideas for a song please let me know!

Ahhhh - now that's funny. :) Like "sixty-five roses" for cystic fibrosis.

Have you got a song about dairy allergies?? Something about surviving pizza day could be cool. If you need more details let me know.

bugs. The allergy that bites you. ;)

Kyle, I think it's great that you are doing something that can help so many little people feel like they are a part of something.

Sure will. :)

Gwen - they really like it. Max was just listening to it now and he got this dreamy smile on his face. It was so sweet... :)
