I got this email from the Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (AFAA) yesterday. I thought it would be of interest to any forum members in the US - please pass the word on to any friends or family you have in that area!

Dear Support Group Leaders and Food Allergy Friends,

We wanted to share with you the exciting news that the Minnesota Twins Baseball Team will be offering a peanut-free skybox for 4 games this season! The first game is tomorrow night, and there are still tickets available. If ticket sales are successful, The Twins' VP of Marketing thinks that other teams in the league will follow their example. Because of this, we encourage you to spread the word because a full peanut-free section can have a positive ripple effect across the nation!

Here are the details -

The peanut-free skybox dates are:

Wednesday, June 27 vs. Toronto Blue Jays - 7:10 p.m. CT Tuesday, July 31 vs. Kansas City Royals - 7:10 p.m. CT Monday, August 20 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m. CT Monday, September 17 vs. Texas Rangers - 7:10 p.m. CT

The skybox ticket price is a fraction the normal cost - only $29. The Skybox is located in the lower level of right field.

To purchase tickets, call 1-800-33-TWINS and reference the peanut-free zone. Tickets can also be purchased online at https://secure.mlb.com/min/ticketing/peanut_form.jsp

Here is a link to a Minneapolis Star Tribune story about it: http://www.startribune.com/509/story/1148973.html . Another story will be featured in tomorrow's St. Paul Pioneer Press Newspaper.

Gak's Snacks Cookies, AFAA material, and AFAA volunteers will be available in the skybox. Come on out to the ballgame!

Sincerely,

Nona Narvaez & Jeffrey Schaefer, founders Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (AFAA)
