Quote:
Juvenile pranksters plaguing a downtown bookstore with peanut butter graffiti could have deadly consequences.

The manager of Borders Books on the Post Road told police Tuesday that several boys and girls smeared peanut butter in the shape of a "smiley face" logo on the store's plate glass windows. The same youngsters, who police said are about 12 and 13 years old, also recently smeared peanut butter inside the store on the underside of handrails and door knobs.

"The Fairfield police understand that kids will sometimes resort to pranks, however, the act of smearing peanut butter in a public place and exposing it to someone with a peanut allergy can become serious and sometimes deadly," said Sgt. James Perez, the police spokesman.

This is why we make sure we wash our hands, you just never know where you might be exposed to an allergen.

The little jerks. :x

Why peanut butter? Just so unheard of, makes you wonder if the allergic (some poor allergic kid) was the target.

:? I almost wish they wouldn't put stories like this in the news, because it gives people ideas.

I would bet money that yes, it's to target somebody they don't like who is allergic to peanuts.

If they keep returning to the same bookstore to do it again...
1. They should be easily caught
2. Why? Is there someone who works there who has an allergy that they are targeting?
