On page 55 of the January 2006 issue of Canadian Living is a brief, but well-written article dealing with sesame allergies. Apparently sesame allergy is one of the fastest growing allergies! Receiving this kind of media attention brings about awareness of this particular allergen, and allergies in general. Thank you Canadian Living! My son has multiple food allergies, including sesame, so this article was of particular interest to me. By the way, my son's allergist, Dr. Susan Waserman, is quoted in this article. In addition, she is one of the allergists consulted in the "Ask the Allergist" portion of Allergic Living magazine. We feel so very fortunate to have our son in the care of such a knowledgeable and compassionate individual.
