Walooet, Illinois has a self-carry law, allowing allergic students to carry Epis.
What schools get in Jan. is full guidelines from the state's board of ed. on management of food allergies, risk prevention strategies.

The question remains whether Katelyn had an Epi available. This should emerge in the investigation.

I am devastated for the family. Thank you for putting the article together Gwen. Not saying it's the case in this situation, but why one earth do some people refuse to take anaphylaxis seriously.

Was it ever determined if Katelyn had an epi-pen with her while eating at that party?
