Another article about the same thing the ex is quoted as saying she wasn't trying to kill the new wife, she was trying to prevent her from reading something that was none of her business. and since she wrote on the envelope that it contained pb, I think she was probably telling the truth. dumb thing to do anyway and could have harmed other people as well. But why write it ontheenvelope if you are trying to harm someone.

I don't get it. Did she expect the new wife to eat the letter? Yes, contact can cause a reaction, but it doesn't sound like she expected her to die from the letter. Very strange story indeed.

"she claims she only meant to keep her from reading his mail by dipping it in the peanut butter and marking it as containing peanuts on the envelope -- then it's an incredibly creative way to off someone you hate. On the other hand ... PSYCHO. How many people touched that mail who had allergies themselves? It's not clear whether she mailed it or dropped it off herself, but either way. Bad, bad plan."

Weird...:frightened :scratchy

Now I'm worried about their kids.
With a mom who does 'nutty' stuff like that ....

O.k., let me get this straight. A peanut allergic woman, which is a life-threatening allergy, receives mail covered in peanut butter. The sender admits to coating the mail with the woman's life-threatening allergen and does so assumming the woman will have access to the mail. However, authorities can not charge the sender since they need proof that she intended harm. Really?

This is just getting crazier and crazier. :frightened
