"so she won't have any aflectic shock on it"

Don't think I've seen it spelled that way before... :?

I am so not a fan of this practice. I'm all for dogs used as service dogs for disabled / blind and autism (I've raised a guide dog puppy, and volunteer with autism / guide dogs), but as Laurie Harada put it at the Edmonton conference, how will these children ever gain the confidence to walk into a grocery store? Or a ball game? Or just about any school?
