Holy guacamole, we have some news!

We have the unions coming on side. CUPE -- the Canadian Union of Public Employees which includes support staff in BC schools -- is encouraging all its members to write emails in support of this bill. The head of the union will be writing a letter to all its members AND will attend our 'rally' Monday at the Leg. This is big -- we are talking about a huge number of staff in our schools! A huge union, too!

And teachers -- we have a letter of support coming from the Greater Victoria Teachers Association as well as one being presented for the BC Teachers Union. It is amazing!

We also now officially have the head of BC Paramedics. The head of their organization will be at Monday's press conference as well.

It is all coming together!

Caroline

Wow - that is amazing. Nice to have some heavy-hitters on your side! :)

You are the reason we got one of the groups Karen! You suggested we contact the Paramedics, and they are totally behind us and are speaking at the rally on Monday and to the media.

I cannot say enough good things about Paramedics. They are true unsung heroes, in my opinion.

Our paramedics here in Ottawa have been an amazing resource for our group and for others, and obviously the BC paramedics are there for you too. I'm really glad it's worked out so well.
