The big sister sounds like a lovely girl, and the principal in this story is a good sport. Gwen

Pajama day raises awareness, money for food allergies

Quote:

Addison, a third-grader at New Market Elementary School, wanted to find a way to raise awareness about food allergies, and after an impassioned plea to her principal, Jason Anderson, Addison convinced him that the school should do a Pajama Day fundraiser to help people like her brother.

Great way for the kids to learn about food allergies. What a progressive Principal!

If I was kind I would write to compliment him on supporting such a good cause and educating children not just in academics but in empathy and real life!

In case anyone else would like to write I could not find an e-mail but found:

New Market Elementary
93 West Main Street, New Market, MD 21774
* 240-236-1300 * 240-236-1301 Fax *
Principal: Jason Anderson.

Thanks for sharing this story Gwen. I hope that it gives many more students ideas!
