Ok, my title says it all :) Anyhoo, I'm working on a food elimination diet and I bought a salad from McDonalds that I thought was allergen free but it turns out the "beans" in the salad were soy and I ended up with terrible pain later.

Any thoughts?

i don't have that allergy, but i would say if you've been diagoned with any kind of severe allergy DO NOT eat in fast food restaurants they're an allergic disaster waiting to happen, i worked at a fast food burger place (harvey's) for two years and cross contamination is everywhere, and if you have life threatening allergies it's best to just those all together, the nature of the business makes it near impossible to ensure more then good hygine practices are in place.

i hope that someone else can shed some light on your symptoms

This web site has lots of good info, including a list of symptoms of anaphylaxis (and thus of allergic reaction):

http://www.allergysafecommunities.ca/pa ... atsubid=15

So I would say that cramping could be a sign of an allergic reaction.
