Does anyone know of a support group in New Brunswick? Specifically in the Saint John surrounding area. I know there is one in Nova Scotia, but that doesn't help me here in NB.

I have thought of starting one myself, but am a follower not a leader. If no one knows of one n this area will anyone out there willing to start one up? I'll help you if you do. :)

Can you contact your local allergist or pubic health department to see if one exsists?

Susan, I have asked but they have no idea. You see, our NB allergists deal mainly with regular allergies - you know - not ana. They have no idea what goes on in the life of an anaphylactic. They tell us we are ana and then say do your own research. When questions come up, they do not know the answer. Have been on my own, so to speak, since diagnosed. Family Dr. has referred me to the allergy clinic in Halifax because I have so many questions ; but my appt. isn't until April 2007. I was advised to seek all my questions outside this province as they are so uninformed here.

I am hoping someone in this forum is from this area and may be thinking of starting one up. No has replied about a current one so I guess there is not one already.

See ya,
Susan (also)

Go to the top of the page to Memberlist and you'll see all members and if they gave their location, it will state.
You can then private post those in your region (I counted 10 from the Atlantic provinces on the first 5 pages) and ask them specifically. :)

Thanks Susan, I'll do that. I haven't looked at it in a while, as the last time I checked the Members list I noted a lot of people do not put their location in. But will, thanks to you, :) recheck it.

I suggest contacting the AAIA (Allergy/Asthma Information Assn); they have good representation in the Atlantic. I believe Gloria Shanks is still the regional representative.

The contacts are:
AAIA Atlantic
36 Morrison St.
Fredericton NB E3A 4M3
Phone/Fax: (506) 459-4475
Toll-free: 1-866-761-6600
