Hello!!!!

My name is heather thrasher..
my partner is nathan wild..

I am looking to start a support group here in the victoria area for parents with children with anaphlyaxis.
I am a "new-ish'" mom to this.. so i think it would start as an informal meet & greet with intentions of having monthly meetings, speakers, particular topics etc.. based on what the needs of the group might be..

I am looking right now to see what kind of interest there is in the Victoria B.C. area.

If you are interested, please feel free to contact me personally, at vianaphylaxis@gmail.com

I am in the process of becomming a member with anaphylaxis Canada.. who as most of you know i'm sure, are a wonderful and supportive resource for people with allergies.

At this point I am not excluding anyone from being interested.. i think if parents or adults with anaphylaxis would like to joing that would be great.. i am personally interested in the parent support i.e. being an advocate for someone else.. but believe i have a lot to learn from a lot more people in this area..

cheers & lok forward to hearing from you

heather
& nathan

Seems like this forum could use a few more readers. My name is cheryl and my 10 year old son is peaut and nut anaphylactic. Our school got the allergic parents together a few times and I had a party for the kids. I would like to see a group or chat room for kids with allergies so they can share their grief and successes. Groups definitely help share the load! :) OUr adult group hasn't got together for more than a year so maybe it's time again. If you'd like I can let you know when and where.

sure more information on the group would be great.
who organizes it? was it a fairly well-attended group?

what kids of things were discussed? i.e. was it mostly for parents of children with severe allergies or for parents themselves.

any info would be great

cheers,

heather
