Allergy/Asthma Information Association’s (AAIA) 9th Annual EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event – 2013
https://aaia.raiseapp.ca/images/stories/aaia_poster.pdf

Living with anaphylaxis, allergies and asthma or having a family member who suffers from the Three A's is often stressful. That is why the Allergy/Asthma Information Association’s 9th Annual EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event taking place in May and June 2013 is such an important community and fundraising event.

The purpose of the EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event is to create awareness of anaphylaxis, allergies and asthma and to bring the allergic community together to raise funds for research and education into allergic disease. A substantial portion of the proceeds from the EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event is donated to the Canadian Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation (CAAIF).

Each EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event site is unique and endeavours to bring the members of the community and families together for a united cause and fun filled day where they can meet and get to know each other. Prizes will be distributed at each event. The family which raises the most money overall will win a whole home air filtration system installed in their home courtesy of Five Seasons Electro Air.

The funds being raised through the walk/run events in Ottawa, Mississauga and Whitby are essential to help build communities that understand the challenges of anaphylaxis, allergies and asthma. To register, sponsor a participant or donate, visit the EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event website at: https://aaia.raiseapp.ca/.

Volunteers are the heart of the EpiPen® TAKE ACTION Event. Each event site needs enthusiastic volunteers, both leading up to the walk and on walk day. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at takeaction@aaia.ca or contact the Ontario Regional Coordinator at ontario@aaia.ca.

Please pass this information along to others who may be interested.

We hope to see you in Ottawa, Mississauga or Whitby!
