Interesting - this warning is from last year, but I found a large bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs with a "May contain" warning on it this year. No warnings on the small bags that I've seen so far, but definately worth a close look and caution IF we're going to consume!

We checked too and the large bag does say "May contain" about tree nuts/peanuts but the little bags say nothing!

Hazlenut is my daughter's worst allergen

I will be calling Cadbury on Monday and if they only label big packages and not small ones we will be boycotting anything Cadbury. This will be a good conversation piece for people who don't get why we read every label before she eats it --- and that if it does not say may contain she doesn't even consume unless we have talked with the manufacturer.

Cadbury said:
- mini eggs are made on a nut-free line
- there are tree nuts and peanuts in the factory (but not on their line)
- there have been no changes in production but they are changing their labelling

Are the small bags going to have a warning now?

She did not say specifically about the small package but in general they were updating their packaging.

We simply won't be eating Cadbury products right now. We support the companies that are consistent in their labelling.
