Ok this isn't an allergy related recall but the first time I've heard of cookies being recalled for a 'may conatin metal' :frightened
http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/cbc- ... d=25153927

Quote:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. have issued a voluntary recall of some Kirkland Signature brand cookies for fear they may contain pieces of metal.

The recall affects Kirkland Signature brand Chocolate Lover's Cookies and Chocolate Chunk Cookies sold in Costco stores between July 26 and August 7.

The cookies were sold in clear plastic, 1.1-kilogram packages of 24.

There have been no reported injuries so far.

Costco Canada said it would be phoning all members who bought the cookies to warn them of the recall.

Kirkland Signature is Costco's house brand.

I just laughed to myself at the irony of posting this here...I don't think anyone on this forum can even eat these cookies due to allergens...but in case anyone has bought some be sure not to eat them.

Hmmm, my mother can't wear costume jewelry as she has a nickle allergy...maybe I should send her this alert?
