ALLERGY ALERT for Canadian mommies: Our daughter went to a few houses with a friend. My husband went through the few things we were letting her bring home at her friends house. But when we went though the treats again at home we almost made a HUGE error. She had a mini KitKats which we assumed were safe but thank God we checked the back. My husband noticed the font (writing) was slightly different and I am so grateful it caught his eye). These Kit Kats were MADE IN A FACILITY THAT PROCESSES PEANUTS AND TREE NUTS (made in the US)! The USA makes mini versions of the exact same mini Nestle chocolates ...but in Canada they are made in a pn/tn safe facility.....in the USA they contain pn/tn trace.

:frightened WOW! Honestly, I have to admit, I WOULD NOT HAVE CHECKED THESE :frightened :frightened I did not realize they make these in the USA as well. We must double check ALL of our kids candy, including those we normally believed were 100% safe. Really, I know there's no such thing, but I did not realize these are also made in the U.S. Thanks for posting this!

It still totally has me freaked out as to be honest I have a zip lock bag where DS knows where they are and although I don't let him help himself to food the odd time he has gone and taken out a treat and brought it to me. I might have just opened the end and let him eat it!!!!!!!!!! Actually, most likely that WOULD have happened. :frightened
