DS went to a birthday party last weekend, and there were individual packs of nerds & sweetarts in the party bags. I've tried to call the 1-800 #, but it isn't available from Canada, I called the Canadian customer service centre and they said that they don't have access to nutritional info on products from the US. The standard advice is 'check the label', but that isn't possible on the little individual packages. Just wondering if anyone has any info? I feel that they are most likely safe, but want confirmation.

Guess this is a preview of the challenges coming up this Halloween. :(

We don't trust anything without the label --- here is a perfect reason why:

KitKat bars are made in a peanut-free facility but the KitKat bites are not!

We always thought KitKats were 'safe' but thankfully we read the label every time as that is how we learned the bites are not.

I'd be inclined to trade her the suspect candies for candies that are known to be safe.
This close to HAlloween, you can be sure to unload those candies on some trick-or-treater who is sure to appreciate them.
