I called Hersheys last year and they said they could never guarentee that any of their chocolates were Corn or Nut free, their chocolate plants have too much cross contaimination.

I have found some chocolate that is Corn and Nut free, but it is usually very expensive. On the plus side, much less chocolate is very filling as a dessert. So long as you enjoy each piece your chocolate bar can stay good over several days.

The hard part is when the Chocolate cravings hit at work and only unsafe chocolate is available. Doh. I am my own worst enemy. I have no control. Grumble.

How do others handle their chocolate cravings?

I have no problems whatsoever with Lindt Excellence 70% and 85% cocoa chocolate bars. I prefer the 70% because it is less bitter. Yes, they are expensive...but it only takes a few squares to satisfy my craving for chocolate! I am also able to use Fry's Cocoa for hot chocolate and for baking.
