someone (i think it was Eldi) mentioned that ground spices have corn-derived ingredients, so I thought I'd mention that there is probably a corn-free alternative (I haven't called, however, to ask specifically about corn).

"The Spice Trader" sells organic spices that are 100% pure---no anti-caking agents.

I tried to buy spices there, but they were concerned about x-contamination issues. It sounded fairly safe, but still, x-contamination with sesame is possible and there are tree nuts on the premises. They said that if I ordered spices in advance, they would be extremely careful about x-contamination, and prepare my order separately. I was quite impressed, although I haven't yet ordered from them!
