I have always wondered what calamari is and if I was able to eat it.

TIA

Calamari is squid. Squid belongs to the mollusc family.

Depending on your level of reaction, it could be better if your allergist tests you first.

Yummy? I had it many years ago at an oriental restaurant. It was pretty wierd, and had an "elastic band" type thing inside which I bit into and as i pulled it away from my mouth it stretched like an elastic band and snapped me in the face. I did not like it and generally I like most food, but any seafood is gross to me, even though I am not allergic.
