Hello,
I received recommendation from my doctor to start taking folic acid, for ensuring a safe pregnancy.

I know vitamin companies tend to produce omega-3 fish pills as well and I am concerned that there may be contamination...between products.

Does anyone have some kind of answer for me or am I being too careful here???!

Thanks!

We give our fish allergic son (and take ourselves) Hero Omega-3 vitamins (for kids mainly) they are gummie bears but packed full of Omega 3 from all vegetable sources. Hope that helps! :)

I am anaphylactic to fish and have not had any problem with Jaemison brand folic acid (1,000mcg). I've been taking it daily for over a year. To be on the safe-side, I recommend contacting the company, I didn't. I also take the same brand B12 supplements without problem.

(Maybe I am mistaken, but don't omega-3 supplements normally are gel capsules? Folic acid is a tablet.)

I can't talk about multi-vitamins... I had too many reactions to multi-vitamins and I'm hoping I never have to try them ever again! (reaction to what? I don't know! ) I take folic acid and B12 on a daily basis because of health issues and I add Tums for calcium...
