YIPEE!!! I've been SO nervous all week about our Ds's allergy testing today. I have been so sure he will outgrow at least one allergy that then I started to panic worrying that if he didn't outgrow something I'd be crushed. Our best bet for outgrowing and allergy was shellfish as he did outgrow fish so our fingers were crossed.

And yes.....his skin prick was negative today for shellfish. Oral challenge to come but so far we are looking good!!!! :bouncyblue :happydance

We still have peanuts, tree nuts (all), sesame, gelatin and all peas/lentils BUT.....

he has now outgrown fish, egg and shellfish. :banana ......I'll take it!!!!

He added feathers and grass but I can live with that.

:bouncygreen I am so happy for you and your son. That is a big one to get rid of. I know either direction it can be a very emotional thing. I have been know to have tears on the way to an appointment because of stress and left in tears both happy and sad. Time to celebrate!! :bouncygreen :banana :bouncyblue
Cheers to more good news.

Thanks so much. Funny, the first thing I thought of when I got home was 'I have to post on A.L.' before I even called anyone else or emailed friends. I think that is because you all get how amazing it is where as others want to be happy for me but don't quite share the same emotion/excitement. So.... :thanksign

My husband, myself and our DD LOVE seafood in general and so this is huge for us. Being that almost every Asian dish we don't eat anymore (which was a huge part of what we used to eat...DH is Chinese...) this opens up a huge amount of new home cooked tasty meals. :D

We have done 3 oral challenges and he's fine with shrimp. :bouncyblue :happydance
The first day we just put a piece on his lip, then we added about 1/8 tsp. diced to his food and he didn't even notice, then a 1/2 shrimp diced and he didn't like the taste but he was fine - allergic wise.
