Some of my friends' kids work at Sport Check and it seems to be a good job for them-accomodating for their sports commitments. Also talk to lots of your friends to see if their workplaces could accomodate a teen. My husband is a dentist and he has employed a teen, (and now our daughter!) in the summers to do a lot of the lesser jobs--remove instrument trays, clean bathrooms, take out garbage, help the receptionist with filing etc. As the old saying goes, it really is "who you know".
