I am so excited, I just registered my son for the 2009 camp! :P He is anaphylactic to milk, (as well as tree nuts and shellfish) and I never believed that I would be able to send him to an overnight camp.

Has anyone had experience with this camp? It is the YWCA camp on Lake Wabumun, and is organized by the AAIA.

I understand that Dr. Carr is on call for the camp, and a registered dietician personally supervises the preparation of each child's meal. The kids are part of the "regular" camp, and get to eat basically the same meals, but without their particular allergens.

I'd love to know someone else who is going before we send him - he's never even had a sleepover at anyone's house before..
