OTTAWA (CP) - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Beta Brands Limited are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume certain cartons of Co-op Gold Wheat crackers with wheat germ.

The affected products may contain milk protein which is not declared on the label. The following products, sold in 225-gram cartons, are affected by this alert:

-Co-op Gold Wheat crackers with wheat germ 50 per cent less salt; UPC: 0 57316 08958 8; Lot codes (codes are embossed on the tab that opens the carton): 44131, 44511, 50241, 50741, 51911, 52341

-Co-op Gold Wheat crackers with wheat germ; UPC: 0 57316 08956 4; Lot codes: 43541, 44323, 44721, 45132, 51021, 51951, 52341.

The affected products have been distributed nationally.
