Talking Allergies

Hi again,

My daughter has been asking about gum (we have managed to avoid it for 6 years). I am wondering if anyone knows of a safe gum that their dairy allergic kids can chew. I seem to remember hearing about some containing a dairy product.

The ingredient you are thinking of is called Recaldent, which is in many whitening gums.

You also have to look out for Casein - it's in lots of gums and is also dairy based.

Glee Gum has none and can be found at health food stores. It's nice and minty but doesn't last too long. Still, fun to chew if that's what you're looking for.
