I'm not dealing with soy allergy so this might be old news to those of you who are. I just received some literature in the mail from an environmentally friendly company and at the bottom of the letter I saw "printed with soy ink". I don't even know if this would pose a risk to you all when dry? Anyway, just thought I'd give a heads up because I wasn't aware that soy was even used to make ink. :?:

The Toronto Star is printed with soy ink . . . I don't react but I make sure to wash my hands after reading it.

I react to newspaper ink, but that's because it either contains metals, soy, or rubber. If it's not one, it's another.

I don't react to newspaper ink - and I'm a total news junkie.

But I do wash my hands at the end of reading them to get the residue off (and that's not just because of my allergies).

Nowadays at least, you can read most newspapers on line, which I do because I can't stand handling a newspaper (I'm not allergic, just ****, ) It's more environmentally friendly too.
