I got fed up with the scratching, my itchy burny eyes, and wheezing and made an appointment with a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor who cured my eczema about 8 years ago. So he is treating me with accupuncture and a cream and changes to my diet (no sugar, no bread, no spicy food - how will I survive, well, I'll probably cheat)

Has anyone else gone this route?

No sugar? I would think you mean *limited sugar* or *no refined sugar*.

What is this supposed to cure? If it is supposed to cure food allergies, make sure you go and get retested before believing you are cured. And if he says not to believe the tests ----RUN!

I've decided to give accupuncture a try for my seasonal allergies and my asthma. I've tried immunotherapy and it landed me in the hospital with an asthma attack and my blood pressure crashed. I've onnly had one accupuncture session but i'm pretty hopeful for an imrovement.

I have a slipped disc and the physio has said that acupuncture is the next step forward. slightly scared because i am not sure what the theory behind it is and not sure whether it will work. no fear of needles though so that's 1 less worry! anyone no anything about how it works or had any experiences with acupuncture?

mostly i've heard good things about it, my firend's dad was on disabilty and could hardly move and started accupuncture (as well as keeping up his regular stuff0 and ended up healing much quicker and is now back to tearing appart his house and his clients (he's a general contractor) but i also have a co-worker who tried accupuncture and when she came back she had HUGE bruises all over her back, she went around saying that she got tortured instead of fixed, but she thinks it might have had to do with something used in the needles that she might have reacted to, so ask a lot of questions

Well, at least there aren't any side effects with acupuncture. I'd be interested in hearing how this works out for you.
