Hi, my name is Krista and I have been looking for a forum like this for quite a while. My youngest son was officially diagnosed with multiple food allergies at age 2. His worst allergies are to nuts, eggs, and oranges. He was hospitalized twice before his 1st b-day due to his asthma. I also have 3 other children who are not allergic, thank goodness. My husband is allergic to peanuts.

Welcome kmommy! I'm sure this forum will offer your family assistance in dealing with food allergies on a daily basis. It has been our lifeline, and I've gained invaluable expertise from the many on this forum that are dealing with the same issues that we are. Like you, we've had several big scares with our son, but we've now gone 1.5 years without any allergic reactions! It does get easier as you gain the knowledge and support of others. Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I have spent many hours searching the internet for help and support for dealing with the allergies.
I have found that the peanut allergy is much easier to deal with than the egg allergy. (Peanuts are easier to avoid) Eggs are in the strangest places. We had a scare with a candy (sweet tarts sour candy) that had egg albumen as an ingredient. My oldest son had the candy and my little guy got into it. Scary!!!
