Well, I had my surgery 6 weeks ago. After developing a blood clot two weeks after surgery and starting blood thinners, I was doing really, really well. Today was just over my 6 week mark so I had to get my pretty pink cast off. I thought I was going into a walking boot, but I ended up in an Aircast ankle brace. I was doing great pain wise in the cast, but now I'm in agony tonight. I even took an oxycontin to try and knock the pain down and it hasn't touched it at all. Anyone have any sort of experience with ankle surgery and if this is normal or not? Lets just say on a scale of 1-10, my pain is at an 8 or 9 (the blood clot was a 10!)

I must say that when they took the cast off, I haven't seen that much hair on a woman's leg since I was in Europe! Holy cow, it was like an inch long! But it felt so good to shave it off...

Thanks!

Looking forward to ankle surgery. That's sad when that's what you have to look forward too.....
