Thanks for reminding me of that site. I did join, but honestly I think I like the tone and format of this site more :) . In any case, it's a good resource for finding some local support and US product information. Thanks again for all the personal stories and help--I really appreciate it.

Baby boy with allergies to sesame, egg, dairy, legumes (soy, peanut, peas so far), sunflower. The jury is still out on citrus.

Hi Juliag
A little late on the reply, but we're also dealing with a sesame allergy (along with peanut & egg) - She may have outgrown soy and chickpea!!! Yes, sesame is the hardest to deal with for us too.

I find that each time I went to the allergist I felt better prepared to get the answers I needed. The first time I went I was clueless and since doing the research I felt better prepared to ask the questions I needed to and to make sure I understood the answers. I was terrified to feed my daughter after her 2nd reaction (which required her epipen and was after having hummus but at the time we only knew of her peanut allergy).

I think everyone else has answered all of your questions, but I did want to introduce myself as a another forum member with the sesame allergy. Oh - and she seems to tolerate all other seeds fine. We only ever had her tested for sunflower which was negative. I also just read in a pamphlet about sesame allergy to avoid all forms of sesame oil. I think that was one of your questions?

A delayed welcome to the board:)
