I came across this on another forum. I don't know much about Facebook and don't have time right now to investigate it but...the topics "Children are our future" and "Childrens' rights" seem to be logical places to make comments on universal legislation for school anaphylaxic policies etc. (not trying to put words into peoples mouths... 8) )
I will review later and maybe make a comment on this Facebook thingy.
I thought others might find it interesting as well.

The CBC is doing a special called The Great Canadian Wish List for July 1st. They are asking Canadians to put wishes for Canada on Facebook and then gather supporters. The top ten wishes (from what I gather) will then be discussed on the TV special in a sort of "appeal" to the nation.

Anyway, there are a few wishes relating to parenting and childbirth that I thought some of you might be interested in (not I am posting wishes I felt relevant to these topics, and I don't necessarily agree with the mandates of them all...):

facebook= the bomb!! seriously it's one of those addictive networking sights, but it's not all cluttered with pictures, and music myspace is, and it's more for people that you know (or have known in the past) it is geared to the younger set (university/college aged) and there's a lot of high schoolers on, but anyway it is sooo the best site ever i have been able to find out what so many of my old friends look like now and such, even start talking to ppl i haven't seen or heard from in YEARS it's great!!!!

Susan, you might be getting a cyber smack. ;)

My son's gf has been trying to get me to join facebook. Apparently a few other people I know are on it as well, and I'd probably be able to get in touch with them. But, I've been fighting it so far. But, I guess I'm going to have to at least check it out.

dustytiger, your post didn't help me. I really don't need anything else on the internet that is addictive. :p ;) ;)

AnnaMarie- Yeah, I was annoyed that I couldn't view this site without signing up. Like you, I have been avoiding it as I don't have enough time to spend on the internet activities I do now.
