Talking Allergies

I guess my title says it all really. Is this a class where he can still eat PB with maybe just some itchies now and then or do I stay away from it altogether?

Any advice to this would be great! TIA!

If you are diagnosed allergic to peanuts, the standard advice that I have always heard from the specialists is to consider it to be a life-threatening allergy, to avoid peanuts completely, and to always carry an epinephrine injector.

I would not give a peanut-allergic child any form of peanut, not even products that say "may contain traces of peanuts".

At the moment, there is no test that can let you predict how severe a reaction would be, so it's best to err on the side of caution and practice total avoidance.

How serious? VERY!

My oldest's RAST results place her as "class 2". Class 2 is VERY serious. We avoid all possible traces of peanuts. It's just not worth it.
