We went to a family reunion this past weekend and had a blast.
Most people where supposed to park at the local church and get a ride into the cottage site. It was arranged that we would bring our car to the site and have it parked in such a way as to be abe to take off if there was any reaction.
Most of the family are aware of dd's allergies but many weren't.
We brought all of our own food, utensils (can opener, knife, spatula etc), plates and cutlery. I pre-chopped and bagged all of the vegetables and I mixed the dry ingredients for pancakes. We cooked a roast the night before we left and had that as our main meal.
Because our meals where basically mix and heat, I could wait until the kitchen was clear, wash everything down and prepare our meal. We were eating at the same time as the others.
I made pancakes for breakfast and the other kids were jealous until i told them that there was enough extras for each of them to get one. We even had jam for the others to use on their croisants (the only oversight of a very organised host).
Dd had a great time and didn't seem anxious at all.
Best of all...no reactions! :D

Susan, so glad to hear things went well. It sounds like you had everything thought out well in advance. :)
